A little late than never...

Well, we had a wonderful time in the Bahamas. Martin and I hopped around the islands like twenty-year-olds, snorkeling, eating and then more diving.
We slept on a Hunter 42 ft sailboat and I had a great time getting to know the crew that Martin sailed with from the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia down to the Bahamas.
Here are some fun photos from our trip:
The minute I got to Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas, I ran straight to the water to wet these tootsies.
Enjoying the beautiful sunset.
Beautiful and quaint, Hopetown.
It was the kind of town where each home was unique, colorful and loved. I wanted to get on my bike and explore it all day.
I loved this cute little town in spite if it's ice cream being $7.00 a scoop!
Then dinner on the Great Guayan Cay. So romantic (minus the bugs).
Check out our sunsets.
The next day we walked over to the other side of the cay (pronounced "key") and snorkeled for hours.
You could walk hundreds of yards and swim around the coral reefs. It was the most incredible natural aquarium.
Then we played at the famous Nipper's and put our feet even further into the sand.
Sadly, it was all too soon to have to leave paradise and go home. Back to reality.
Looks like these toes played a little too much in their fins. It was worth having to re-do my pedicure!
I am so sad every time we have to say goodbye.

Instead of taking some time to relax after our vacation, we head straight to Powell to host a family reunion on our houseboat with Martin's family. We love it, but only have less than 48 hours to prepare for our guests. So this can prove to be a little tricky. I have to plan the menus and have enough food to feed 28 for five days. Oh my!
Truthfully, I have been doing this for years—so no biggie. I've got it down to a science.
Our car was packed to the hilt last night with food, bedding, and more food but we managed to get it all in.... Sort of...

We made it to "Powell" last night, rolling in at 11:00 pm. We unpacked the car, got the houseboat organized and are now ready to get this reunion rolling!
Let the fun continue...
