Baby Summer was a hit! I mean HUGE! The day Summer was born, 12 other babies were born in the same hospital. One day, I counted 36 babies in total on Summer's floor. It was baby bedlam. I loved standing at the nursery window and seeing all these tiny babies fresh from heaven. As I stood there, I wondered about each of these tiny lives and how they would play out over their lifetime. I hoped each one of them would be loved, know how to give love and some day find a love of their own. I prayed each one would be happy. Especially as happy as our new baby Summer is going to be. Because, she is going to be LOVED!
It was such a joy to see my sister, Chelsey, with her new little best friend, but it was even better seeing Summer with her daddy. I think "proud" doesn't justify the love of this doting dad. If you are a fan of Summer's parents, then you know how lucky she is to be blessed with the parents she got. Days are not dull in that household.
Also, it was a great week because my sister, Courtney, came to Utah via Texas to be here for Summer's birth. Martin went out of town for a few days, so I went down and stayed at my moms in Provo while Courtney was visiting. Courtney and I acted as if we had never left home while staying with our mom. We stayed up late talking into the wee hours of the night. Then in the morning, she'd come into my room, wake me up, push me over to one side of my bed, get in and we would start talking all over again. Sisters are the best. I really don't know what or who I'd be if I didn't have my sweet sisters in my life. I am lucky enough to have three.

Here are some photos of our long lazy days that were filled with hospitals, preschool (oh my!), sisters, chocolate covered almonds, Costco runs, visiting with friends and more. Okay, they weren't so lazy.![]() |

She's a looky-loo, rubbernecker, eavesdropper and all around nosey hooligan the minute she spots an iPhone.
